Who we are

Mountain West Insurance Connect (“we”) is operated by Kason Stilson, Orangeville, Utah. We are not an insurance company or an insurance agent, and we do not sell insurance. We connect people who ask for a quote with licensed insurance agents and agencies.

What we collect

What you type into our quote form: your name, phone number, email (if you give it), state, age range, the kind of coverage you're interested in, your preferred language and any short answers you choose. We also record the date and time, the page address, your IP address and browser type, and how you found us (for example, a Facebook post), along with a copy of the consent wording you agreed to.

How your information is shared — and sold

When you submit the form, your information is shared with, and may be sold to, one or more licensed insurance agents or agencies (up to 3). They pay us for it. Those agents may contact you about insurance by phone call, text message or email, including by automated dialing, prerecorded or artificial voice and automated texts, as described in the consent you gave. Consent is not a condition of buying anything.

Each agent or agency handles your information under its own privacy policy. We also use service providers (for example, our website host and database) to run the site. We may disclose information if the law requires it. We don't share your information with anyone else for their own marketing.

Texts and calls

Message and data rates may apply, and message frequency varies. Reply STOP to any text to stop texts from that sender. You can also ask an agent directly to stop calling you.

Changing your mind

You can withdraw your consent at any time. Use our Stop contacting me form or email help@mountainwestinsuranceconnect.com. We'll stop sharing your information and tell agents who received it that you asked not to be contacted, within 10 business days. Agents who already received your information may keep a record of it as the law allows.

How long we keep it, and keeping it safe

We keep request records, including consent records, for as long as needed to show you agreed to be contacted and to meet legal duties (usually up to 5 years), then delete them. We use reasonable safeguards, but no website can promise perfect security.

Children

Our form is for adults 18 and older. We don't knowingly collect information from children.

Your rights and questions

You can ask what information we have about you, or ask us to correct or delete it, by emailing help@mountainwestinsuranceconnect.com. If we change this policy, we'll update the date at the top.
